Diwali is a celebration of light over darkness, so let’s make these Baked Shahi Tukda Diyas to light up your celebration.

These Baked Shahi Tukda Diyas are absolutely perfect for Diwali. They are so cute, adorable, look like a little diya, and are so delicious.

It’s really easy to make, essentially has three components, bread, rabri, and a nut. And you can even make it easier by using store-bought rabri, but I’m making it at home because I love the flavor.

The recipe with all the instructions is on my website.

The rabri gets filled in the diya, which essentially resembles the oil or ghee of the diya.

I cut the bread into circles and shape it in cupcake molds, which essentially resembles the base of the diya. It comes out really crispy, and I love the texture of that with the rabri.

And then the almond resembles a flame, and this is a perfect Indian sweet for Diwali.
