What’s up Nerfers and welcome back to my channel, where I test blasters outdoors in real-world conditions to bring you the answers that I want to know. There have been some brilliant blasters this year, for example, the Sabre Apex Prime is the most durable and most accurate blaster that I tested. The Slinks with its bullpup form factor was incredibly easy to get kills with. But there’s one blaster that stands above all of the others as the most overpowered one I’ve ever used. And that, of course, is the Sweetheart Storm.

You can find the Storm at Foamwork Adelaide here in Australia for 700 kangaroos, or at Out of Darts in the USA for 525 bald eagles. When they’re in stock, they sell out immediately, in fact, to get hold of one your only real hope is to pre-order, unfortunately. That’s how much demand there is for this blaster.

What sets it apart from everything else is the fact that it’s a 300 FPS half dart springer, but it’s motor-driven, giving it semi-auto or full-auto fire modes, with a rate of fire of up to 8 darts per second. It takes the accuracy of any Nerf sniper, couples it with semi-auto, or if you’re incredibly mean to your opponents, full-auto, essentially taking the best parts of a springer and fusing it with the best parts of a flywheel blaster, creating an incredibly OP hybrid of the two.

I’ve already made a full-on review video of this when it came out earlier in the year, I even made a second video dialing it down to a mere 100 FPS. But to close off 2023, what I want to find out today is how it performs at 300 FPS, with a couple upgrades that came out later in the year. Firstly, Worker introduced new darts to us. These green tip ones are 15% heavier than usual, and from all of my testing with other blasters, they give both a range boost and a slight accuracy boost.

Secondly, I’m going to try the new Sabre 30 Bearing CNC Metal B-Car. One of these costs a whopping 139 monitor lizards, but they are the best Nerf rifling attachment currently available. And the goal of this video is to see just how OP this storm can be, using what 2023 has to offer.

Let’s start out with a velocity test. Alright, first up we’ve got Worker bamboo darts. These weigh 1 gram each, and then I’ll do the heavier ones second. Back to semi-auto, let’s see how it shoots. VTAN, 306, 300, 299, 301, 298, 298, 294, 301, 307, 299, 299, 296, 275, that’s a low one, could have been a bad dart, 305, that must be all for, actually, because I have the magnetic things in here, there should be one more dart in the chamber, 289. Standard Worker shot a high of 310, lower of 275, average of 298, with a standard deviation of 8.1 due to that one bad dart that we had. Not bad overall though, but let’s see the heavies.

I forgot that I had these in these mags, this is a magnet that tells you when you’ve only got one dart left, so that you never dry fire this thing, but now let’s do the 15% heavier Worker heavies. 251, 250, 247, 247, 244, 253, 247, 246, 243, 245, 250, 251, 248, 243, and the last one, if I can hit the switch, why is it not firing, oh, I need to remove the mag, forgot, 247. Now that’s the consistency that we like to see. Worker heavies shot a high of 253, low of 243, average of 247, with an incredible standard deviation of 3. How does that 51 FPS drop translate to range though? Let’s find out.

Now as I make my way out the front to do a range test, I just want to give you guys a pro tip with the Sweetheart Storm, you can see here I’ve left a gap in front of the head so when I loaded this thing, I made sure the back of the foam was touching the edge here. That reduces the friction as it feeds and it helps prevent jams in the storm. Because of how quickly this breech moves, your mags really need to keep up with it. So in addition to doing that, I’ve also got double springs in the mag. I’ve got five darts of each in here and we’re firing them alternating so that if the point of aim does change, it changes for all of them.

And I’ll be standing against this back fence over here, shooting back down the road, and then I’ll use this laser rangefinder pointed at the fence to see how far each shot went. Here we go. And a bit of brightness. And the last one. I’ll put the blaster away, we don’t want to stay out in a public space longer than we have to with this thing, and then I’ll find where all the darts went.

Okay guys, so the first shot was a heavy, which I suspect was a bad dart, but we’ll see how far it went. 60 meters. Not bad. The next ones, we actually have all of the 1 gram workers within about a meter’s distance from each other. So I’ll just stand in the middle of those. They averaged about 68 meters. And if we come past the 1 gram workers, we have another worker heavy here, which is at 69 meters. Comment nice down below. And then we have three more worker heavies pretty much all next to each other at 73 meters. So all of the standard workers landed bunched together at 68 meters, and if I average all of the heavies, which are more spread out, including the one that went short, heavies come to 69.6 meters. So on average, it looks like they go slightly further, despite being 51 FPS slower out of the muzzle. But how does this translate to accuracy? Let’s find out.

Okay, guys, so the last time I did a 30-meter accuracy test with this blaster, which was the first quarter of the year, I had to aim for this skull for the shots to drop around the center of the target. So I’ll try that again. There’s a chance this sight might not be zeroed to this blaster. And in that case, what this will be is a precision test, rather than an accuracy test. First up, 1-gram worker bamboos. I need to turn the brightness of this sight down a bit so I can see. Alright, that’s cool. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. And the last one, of course. Click the switch back to off. Oh, and remove the mag. Hit.

Alright, now we do the heavies. Switch back to semi. Aiming at the same spot. No idea whether these will go lower, higher, or the same. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. And the last one. Hit.

I actually can’t tell just from eyesight. Gonna have to take it back inside to the computer. First of all, shown in red, standard workers shot a grouping 40cm high and 30cm wide. That’s up there with the best Nerf snipers. And it was not only precise but accurate too. I didn’t even zero the sight in. Heavies in green shot a narrower but taller spread, 45cm high and 25cm wide. So that’s 5cm narrower but 5cm taller. Overall, I have to say there’s no real difference.

Now, while I’ve done all of this accuracy testing on semi-auto, what makes this blaster incredibly overpowered is the full-auto function that I personally choose never to use in gameplay because it’s just too OP. Let’s see how it groups on full auto, just with the standard 1g dots. And this thing has some real recoil to it, so hopefully I can hold it steady. That is glorious every time. Oh
