Introduction

RECAPZ ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS mobile application.

Your data stays on your device. Period.

Information We Don't Collect

We do not collect:

Personal information (name, email, phone number)
Usage analytics or behavior tracking
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Location data
Any data whatsoever from your use of the app

Information You Create

When using RECAPZ, you create and store the following data locally on your device:

Emotional Check-ins

Your selected emotional states (energy, feeling, focus)
Timestamps of when you recorded each moment
Context information (activities, locations you manually enter)
People you were with (if you choose to add this information)

App Preferences

Theme selection (color scheme)
Language preference
Notification settings and reminder times
Onboarding completion status

All this data is stored exclusively on your iPhone, never transmitted to any external server, never shared with any third party, and can be completely deleted at any time through the app's settings.

Data Security

Your data is protected by Apple's built-in iOS security mechanisms, local device encryption (if you have device encryption enabled), and no network transmission (because we never send your data anywhere).

iCloud Backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your RECAPZ data may be included in your encrypted iCloud backup along with your other app data. This is controlled by Apple's iOS settings, not by RECAPZ. We recommend keeping iCloud Backup enabled for data recovery purposes.

No Third-Party Services

RECAPZ does not use:

Analytics services (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
Advertising networks
Crash reporting services
Social media integrations
Any third-party SDKs that collect data

Notifications

If you enable notifications, all notifications are generated and scheduled locally on your device. No push notification servers are used, and no external services are notified when you receive a reminder.

Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Delete All Data

Go to Settings → History → "Clear all data" to permanently delete all your check-ins, preferences, and app data from your device.

Delete the App

Uninstalling RECAPZ from your iPhone will permanently remove all app data from your device.

No Recovery

Once you delete your data, it cannot be recovered because we don't have copies of it anywhere.

Your Rights

Because all your data stays on your device: You can view all your data within the app, delete all data instantly through app settings, and you have complete control at all times.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the new policy in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
